Devi Ahalya recounts the treachery of Indra, and her eventual incarceration by Sage Gautam. Lord Ram proclaims her innocence, and she attains salvation while chanting His name. The assembly of the sages emphatically proclaims the name of Lord Ram to be the eternal, immutable Truth. Sage Sadanand, Ahalya’s son, chants the virtuous deeds of Ram in the court of Mithila leaving Sita anticipating to finally see Him in person. Ravan informs Mandodri of his intent of participating in Sita’s marriage ceremony, though uninvited. Lord Ram, on His way to Mithila, comes across a group of distressed men and He decides to resolve their problem.
