Law student Stella Launière’s internship with the Projet Innocence is supervised by renowned criminal lawyer Armand Coupal. The convict whose innocence she must prove, Anderson Jean-Louis, is a notorious criminal, responsible for misdeeds as serious as the murder of which he claims to have been unjustly accused. Stella will have to uphold Coupal’s saying: “Better ten guilty persons go free than an innocent be in prison”.
